WIFE OF GOV. BENUE STATE ATTENDS AUGUST (WOMEN) MEETING IN OWERRI, IMO STATE
*Leads delegation of Women from the State
*Wife of the President Mrs Aisha Buhari also present
*Wife of Senate president Mrs Bukola Saraki in attendance
*Wives of Governor's of Niger, Borno, Ebonyi, Jigawa, Edo, Ondo others present

Wife of the Governor of Benue State Dr.Mrs Eunice Ortom on thursday in Owerri, the Imo State Capital Joined Wife of the President Mrs Aisha Buhari, Wife of the Senate president Mrs Bukola Saraki and other wives of Governors in the North and South of the nation to mark the Annual August meeting organised by Wife of the Imo State Governor, Mrs Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha.
The event held at the Heroes square also attracted the Governor of Zamfara state and chairman, Nigeria Governor's Forum Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari.
Dr Mrs Ortom led a delegation of women from the state cut across the three political, geographical and senatorial divide,as well as the Award winning Arts Council dance troupe.
Impressed by the performance of the Arts council dance troupe over time,Governor Anayo Rochas Okorocha and his wife invited the troupe to perform before him and some of his guests in his lodge after the event, including Dr Mrs Ortom who danced to a renedition of popular swange tunes alongside Mrs Okorocha, to the admiration of those present including Wife of the Governor, Ondo State, Mrs Akeredolu.
The Annual Women August Meeting is a Socio-Cultural gathering through which women come together to deliberate on issues affecting their communities and the society.
The Seventh since its inception in 2011, the meeting is heralded with a central theme and brings Igbo women from the Five South East States as well as others.
This year's theme Women:Building Bridges of Friendship across the Niger was carefuly chosen according to Mrs Okorocha, based on the need to to extend and spread tentacles by reaching out to others across the Niger, the desire to promote unity, friendship and love with the belief that the strenght of any society lies in the unity of the populace.
According to her, Unity is a chord that ties families, communities, states, tribes and nations together.
